"...for just such a time as this?” Esther 4:14 This is Mordecai coming to Esther for help. She responds to his plea with a fearful statement. He retaliates with this statement (she has been made Queen 'for such a time as this').
Definitely a challenging, yet encouraging, passage to start off a new semester.
"All the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need> everyday they continued to meet together...They broke bread together in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts." Acts 2:44-46
Last semester I read Crazy Love with my small group at Northstar.Francis Chan mentions the original church and these verses often. Over break I was thinking of what a unique opportunity we as college students received with the ability to grow in church and in campus ministries. I love the idea of the original church and how we can see this manifest into today's Christians. Community is something that we often separate from when we are stressed but it is something vital we all need to maintain during the semester. I want to continue to grow in my last semester here at Tech.
